Sunfest!

This dress is a bit different from what I would usually would wear but I love it. I was looking for a dress that was short in the front but long in the back for quite some time but none of them seemed to fit right until I came across this one. The tribal print is a bit different for me since most of my dresses are either black and white or pastel or floral or a tiny cute print. I loved standing outside my comfort zone in this dress. I wore this dress to the yearly Sunfest in London. Its a festival full of dance, culture, food, and random jewelry an clothes stands. I like this festival the best out of all the London festivals because its quite unique . The other festivals in London all have the same booths but with a different name. Mike and I enjoyed our time there but due to the weather being incredibly hot and humid we didn't stay all that long which sucks because I wanted to see some of the performances. We did stay long enough however to share a jumbo blue raspberry lemonade and look at all the booths. To escape the heat we found an air conditioned mall that was all closed down ( not sure why it was closed it was a Saturday). We sat in there and found a vent and literally sat in front of it for twenty minutes to cool ourselves down. After leaving downtown, we went back to my house for a nice swim. All in all, it was a great day! 


Oh and since I haven't posted since leaving for camping I will fill you in with that. Camping was so fun. Whenever I hang out with my best friends we always have crazy stories and adventures to tell. One being that when we were driving home from a bar ( I was the DD) there was a bear in the middle of the road! I had to slam on the breaks and the bear just kept on going. It was so scary!Another story was that my friend Carmen and I were put in a canoe together and we were both pretty inexperienced and we started off fine but on the way back when it came to getting out and docking it,we went over the rope that separated where we were supposed to go and a waterfall. I got so freaked out that we were heading for a waterfall ( even though it was fairly small) that I jumped out of the canoe and got soaking wet and tried to steer the canoe towards the guy who was docking it . It was quite embarrassing! Any who to make a long story short it was a great week and I hope to do it again sometime soon! Well I am off to maybe go to Sunfest again and swim. Yesterday I spent most of the day in the hospital because my Dad had hip surgery in the morning.The surgery went very well but it was a long wait in the waiting room. I went up to visit him today too and today I got to see what I will be doing in three years. It was kind of intimidating to see the nurses rushing around and being very busy. It makes me worried for my future but I know it is what I want to do as much as it scares me! After getting home from the hospital, Mike and I ate some nachos and watched Storage Wars. It is actually quite an addicting show as strange as it is. There was a marathon all night so we pretty much settled in for the night. Today I did some shopping and bought a cute cat printed dress from Dress 911. I love it and I can't wait to show you guys on my next post! The necklace I am wearing in this photo is the necklace I won! It came all the way from Sweden and it is from Lotta Losten etsy shop. She has some amazing unique jewelry. I love this necklace and I can see me wearing it with just about everything I own. I can bend the pedals to make it an open or closed flower and the jewel inside is gorgeous. I am also in love with this new top because a) has a peter pan collar and b) is mint and has polka dots. It is easily one of my favourite shirts in my closet. Well I hope everyone has a nice day! I am off to go swimming in my friends pool and perhaps find something else to do on this gorgeous day!

Birthday Dinner!

Hi guys! so Mike and I went headed out downtown for dinner today for a late birthday dinner ( my birthday was on the Saturday). Since I am now legal I was able to order my first alcoholic drink at a restaurant. I ordered the lovely raspberry drink that tasted so amazing! After dinner we went for a stroll downtown but it was so insanely hot and my feet were killing me so we headed back haha. I straightened my hair for the occasion which I am not sure why because it was so humid but surprisingly it did not frizz. I have been hiding my one eyebrow with my bangs because a couple weeks ago I was using an electric razor and somehow thought it would be a good idea to do my eyebrows. I am such a dork and shaved the middle a bit too far so that my one eyebrow seemed further apart. I laughed about it because it s something that I would totally do because I am such a klutz. Any who, it is pretty much back to normal so I can finally show off my eyebrows haha.

recent style obsession:  yellow and peter pan collars! I simply can not get enough :) .
